How long does sweetened condensed milk last

I made some hot Vietnamese coffee with mine and it had a slighter off taste. I'm not sure if it was the chicory in the coffee or spoiled milk. It's still the same stuff isn't it, with the water condensed out. Of course having an opened tin of condensed milk in the fridge is a harrowing pressure on the subconcious to make more tablet.... The tube I still have says use within three weeks.. --------------------
